When We Confessed The Execution Of Vaidya

When We Confessed The Execution Of Vaidya
This time when we went to court, there was more arrangement than usual. Previously there were always five hundred men from the S.R.P. trained on us, whilst the rest were Poona police officers. Now perhaps the Government has sent more C.R.P. officers because in court that day there were a lot of C.R.P. officers.
In court, brother Sukhdev Singh and I told the judge:
“Sikhs are not afraid of death. We can live lives like this many times over. Our struggle is with the ruthless dictatorship of India, and whilst Khalistan is not founded our struggle will continue. We will continue to put enemies like Vaidya in their place. By executing an evil-doer like Vaidya we did not commit any sin because in our religion, punishing those who do evil deeds is no sin. He desecrated our Divine institutions, massacred thousands of innocent children, men and women, and for that reason we tried and executed him.”
In closing we chanted, “Khalistan Zindabad.”
The judge said to me, “Shout ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ louder…”
I shouted ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ with more force. As the judge was leaving, having met with everybody else, he came especially over to us and greeted us with folded hands and said:
“I can’t say ‘Khalistan Zindabad’… but is there any other service I can do for you?”
We thanked him respectfully. The judge then told the police- “I should not receive any complaint from them, deal with them very well…”
Whatever demands we had made on the application were accepted by the judge. And I provided the judge with my twelve-page long statement.
