Shaheed Bhai Sucha Singh Chhina 

Bhindranwala Tigers Force of Khalistan

 

Bhai Sucha Singh Chhina, a Jhujaru warrior of the Sikh nation, was born in 1968 in the house of Sardar Mahinder Singh and from the blessed womb of Mata Pyar Kaur in the village of Harsha Chhina, Patti Shahbazpur, Tehsil Ajnala, District Sri Amritsar Sahib. Bhai Sahib had two older sisters, Bibi Jasbir Kaur, Bibi Kuldeep Kaur, two younger sisters, Bibi Paramjit Kaur, Bibi Rajwinder Kaur and a younger brother Bhai Harcharan Singh. He studied only up to the fifth grade at the government school in the village and then started farming with his father.

 

Bhindranwala Tigers Force of Khalistan’s Jhujaru General, Bhai Satnam Singh Satta Chhina was his cousin. After the attack on Sri Darbar Sahib, Bhai Satta Chhina jumped into the armed struggle for the freedom of Khalistan. Due to Bhai Satta Chhina, the police also started harassing the family of Bhai Sucha Singh. Police raided Bhai Sahib’s home every day, the police would pick up the whole family and take them to the police station and humiliate them immensely. Tired of the police’s atrocities, Bhai Sucha Singh went to Bombay and started working as a truck driver there. But he was not content, Bhai Sucha Singh then gave up everything and joined Bhai Satnam Singh Satta Chhina’s Jhujaru group to serve the Sikh nation. Bhai Sucha Singh also took part in Jhujaru actions and showed amazing bravery. It was Bhai Sucha Singh who brought Bibi Jasmeet Kaur to Uttar Pardesh from Punjab, after she was bailed in the Comrade Babbu murder case, and Bhai Sucha Singh also conducted the Anand Karaj of Bibi Jasmeet Kaur with Bhai Satnam Singh Chhina. 

 

One day Bhai Sucha Singh Chhina was staying at his home in village Harsa Cheena. On the information of a police tout, the police forces surrounded the house and arrested Bhai Sucha Singh along with the entire family who were then taken to the Rajasansi police station. Then the police brought Bhai Sucha Singh Chhina to the BR Model School in Amritsar, where he was subjected to inhuman torture. The evil policemen applied current to his body, tore the flesh with pliers, broke both his legs and committed unspeakable atrocities on Bhai Sahib. The butchers hammered nails into Bhai Sucha Singh Chhina’s head and his martyred body was put into a large sack by the police and taken to village Luharka (near Rajasansi-Adliwal) on 5th May 1992, where a false police encounter was staged on the canal bridge. 

 

Shaheed Bhai Sucha Singh Chhina attained the martyrdom similar to Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh and became immortal by writing his name in the line of martyrs of Khalistan. The police also inflicted great wrath on Bhai Harcharan Singh, the younger brother of Bhai Sucha Singh. The policemen beat Bhai Harcharan Singh to the point of tearing his eardrums, breaking his jaw and making his body useless for the rest of his life. Even after the martyrdom of Bhai Sucha Singh Chhina, the police continued to inflict many atrocities on his family for a long time, but the family did not lose faith in Sikhi.
