Shaheed Bhai Gurmukh Singh Giani

Bhindranwala Tigers Force of Khalistan 

 

Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale started the movement in which many Sikh men attained martyrdom, amongst them is Bhindranwala Tiger Force of Khalistan’s Shaheed Bhai Gurmukh Singh Giani, who was born on 10th January 1970 in the house of Sardar Dalip Singh and from the blessed womb of Mata Manjit Kaur in village Kallo Mahal, Tehsil Ajnala, Post Office Gago Mahal, District Sri Amritsar. Bhai Sahib had an older brother, Bhai Hardev Singh, younger brother Bhai Baldev Singh and a younger sister, Bibi Balwinder Kaur. Bhai Sahib studied till 10th grade. From the start Bhai Sahib was of religious views and had a desire to do something for the Sikh nation and Punjab. 

 

June 1984 and November 1984 massacres hurt Bhai Sahib so much that he could not bear it. Then Bhai Sahib met the Jhujaru Singhs of Bhindranwala Tigers Force of Khalistan, Bhai Satnam Singh Changiara and Bhai Buta Singh, and from here her joined the struggle for freedom of Khalistan and started doing Jhujaru actions. During this time, Bhai Sahib punished countless anti-Sikh elements. Before going on a mission, Bhai Sahib would read Gurbani and do an Ardas for the successful mission. After the action was successful, Bhai Sahib thank Akaalpurakh by doing selfless service and meditation for many hours.

 

  • One day, there was a fierce encounter between the police and the Jhujaru Singhs of Bhai Sahib’s group near the villages of Bauri Bunga and Bhindian, from where the Singhs broke the siege and abducted 5 policemen, 2 of whom were taken to the canal and killed. The responsibility of this battle was claimed by Bhindranwala Tigers Force of Khalistan in the newspapers. 

 

  • When Bhai Sahib’s close companion, Bhai Paramjit Singh Sodhi (village Lango Mahal) was martyred by the police, Bhai Sahib took revenge by attacking police stations and CRPF check posts.

 

  • Then, a week later, Bhai Sahib was surrounded by Indian security forces in Nepal village near Ajnala. This encounter lasted all night. In this siege, Bhai Gurmukh Singh Giani safely rescued Bhai Satnam Singh Changiara and then you also escaped in the morning.

 

One day, there was a fierce encounter between Bhai Sahib and CRPF in Sandhal village. From where the police arrested Bhai Sahib and after torturing him in different police stations for several days, SSP Suri took Bhai Sahib near the canal of village Bohlian near Ajnala on 21st July 1989 and martyred him in a fake encounter. When the police brought Bhai Sahib to the canal to stage an encounter, Bhai Sahib was shouting slogans of ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ with full enthusiasm despite being tortured so much. Three more Singhs were martyred along with Bhai Sahib. After staging the encounter, the police did not hand over the bodies of the families and cremated them somewhere themselves.
