Khalistan Commando Force

 

Bhai Amrik Singh DC was born from the blessed womb of Mata Dalip Kaur and in the house of Sardar Tara Singh, in village Rasulpur (now known as Ram Singh Wala), near Khemkaran. Bhai Sahib was the 6th eldest of 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Sardar Tara Singh provided for his family by farming his lands. Bhai Sahib was illiterate but knew how to write his name. from a young age, Bhai Sahib assisted his father in farming. In his teenage, Bhai Sahib worked in factory in Ludhiana and the started working with cars. During this period, Bhai Sahib hurt his leg and ever since he had slight limp when he walked. Bhai Sahib now started staying at home.

 

In June 1984, the Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi ordered her army to attack Sri Harimandir Sahib, in which thousands of Sikhs were mercilessly killed. This attack on the Sikh faith had a great impact on Sikhs around the world, Bhai Sahib extremely saddened by this. After the attack, Bhai Sahib had decided to somehow take revenge for the desecration of the Sri Akaal Takht Sahib and the killings of the Sikhs.

 

Bhai Sahib joined the Jhujaru Singhs of Khalistan Liberation Force under the command of Jathedar Avtar Singh Brahma, and started doing Jhujaru actions in secret. But the Punjab police had gotten the news of this and framed Bhai Sahib in a murder case which saw him being jailed. After 3 years, in 1989 Bhai Sahib was released from jail and when he returned home to his village, he saw the rule of Jhujaru Singhs all over Punjab. Due to having done Jhujaru actions before, Bhai Sahib wanted to continue his service for the creation of Khalistan. He was not happy about the Injustices committed on himself by the Punjab police. Bhai Sahib now joined the Jhujaru Singhs of Khalistan Commando Force under the command of Bhai Jagtar Singh Dhola. After the martyrdom of Bhai Dhola, his Jhujaru group including Bhai Sahib merged with the Jhujaru Singhs of Bhai Pala’s (village Toot) group.

 

On 16th Magh 1992, Bhai Sahib was bringing weapons and ammunition from Pakistan, via the Rajasthan border near the village of Ratiya. It was during this action Bhai Sahib attained martyrdom by swallowing a capsule of cyanide when surrounded by Indian soldiers of BSF.
