Letter To The Family Of Shaheed Bhai Bakshish Singh Kalyug

Letter To The Family Of Shaheed Bhai Bakshish Singh Kalyug
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru
Dearest respected brother Bihari Lal Singh Ji and to the entire family,
The Khalsa belongs to Waheguru!
To Waheguru belongs victory!
Thanks to the grace of the Almighty we all brothers are in utterly high spirits! We always hope that families loyal to the Qaum such as yours are in high-spirits and good blessings.
Bhai Sahib Ji! Yesterday I received a letter from you which saddened me greatly, having learnt that nobody has helped you. We take great pride in your family that sacrificed so much for the Qaum, giving your lives willingly. This World filled with sins and evils is one in which those beloved to the Almighty have to suffer for the sake of justice. In accordance with the philosophy of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, the true hero is the one who enters the fray hoisting the flag of truth and does not show his back to the battlefield. The sacrifices of Sikhs of old and our history of having been persecuted is of vital importance; we are determined to continue our faith in the Guru, holding unwavering belief in Divinity; we have faith in undertaking selfless service. From the very beginning until today, there have been massacres by different rulers and governors to eliminate the Sikhs, but despite the martyrdom of thousands of Sikhs, we continue to remain in high-spirits! We Sikhs believe that following every sacrifice we will shine even brighter – that is how it has transpired in the past and so as it is today.
This Qaum, whose heroes believing in the Immortal One have fought against oppression and tyranny, all the while maintaining the values of our historical legacy, despite facing death by dismemberment, spiked alive on the wheels of death, scalped in cold blood, halved and quartered by saw, this nation that is born outside of the confines of mortality – nothing can stop it from reaching its destination, no matter what cruelty tyrannical rulers impose, let alone death or oppressive regimes. Struggle is always between the virtuous and the iniquitous, and in the end, victory will always belong to the virtuous.
Bhai Sahib Ji! Whether it’s crowds of physical units or men in vast numbers, no matter how much blood is lost, the immense power of those in rule can never constrain the Khalsa. The Khalsa remains steadfast in all circumstances. Your family, having joined the Khalsa has done a great service to the Panth and has faced death with delight. And so, the Guru is always with you. Today I saw the photograph of our immortal brother, the martyred Bakhshish Singh; it was given by Anar Singh Para to publicise the last rites ceremony. Learning from your family’s example, the Hindus of Punjab should contribute to the ongoing struggle. But they have forgotten the sacrifices made by the Sikhs. This is why they celebrated the attack on Sri Darbar Sahib and brutally massacred Sikhs following the execution of Indira Gandhi. Even today, Beant’s Government is persecuting the Sikhs on the back of the votes of these Hindus of Punjab. They continue to do as they have done always and seek enmity with the Sikhs. We are against the massacre of Hindus but still they draw the line of permanent enmity between Sikhs and Hindus. The entire Qaum is proud of your family and will always remain so. Please send us photographs of the five martyred members of your family as well as your own photographs as we wish to publish these in our publications. We once saw a photograph of your family in the ‘Des Pardes’ newspaper – all members were seen to be members of the Khalsa, however you were not. Bhai Sahib Bihari Lal Singh ji, please tell us have you tasted the holy nectar or not? If not then you too should be baptised by the double-edged sword and give your head to the Guru – it will make us very happy.
The Shiromani Committee is controlled by traitors. What can we say about them? They have no sympathy with the Panth. They just want to fill their houses and advance their positions in life. We will ask other members of the Panth to assist you. You don’t have to worry, always stay calm, we will do whatever we can. We are here by the grace of our martyrs of old, steadfast in mind and in high spirits by the touch of those divine souls. Qaums exist because of their martyrs and it is through the invisible guiding hand of those martyrs that Qaums walk forward. Martyrs are the assets of a nation; martyrs provide the nation with historic valor; the thorns on the roads which the martyrs walk upon barefoot, become flower beds for generations to come.
Dearest Bhai Sahib Ji! Please never waver. This is not easy for us, but know that we will try to help you in any way that we can. There are two other brothers here with us, Nirmal Singh and Avtar Singh. Avtar Singh is a volunteer providing selfless service at Pune Gurdwara. Nirmal Singh is from village Gadli in the district of Amritsar. Harjinder Singh is also from this village. My village is 16 FF Tehsil Sri Karanpur, District Ganganagar, in Rajasthan. My father’s name is Mengha Singh. We are able to meet our families from time to time; they are all in high spirits. Bhai Sahib Saroop Singh Ji of the Damdami Taksal came to meet with us recently also. When you visit Mehta Sahib, please greet all of the Sikhs there with Baba Thakur Singh Ji on our behalf.
Well Bhai Sahib Ji! Please permit me to end this letter here. I will have made many mistakes, please forgive me these discretions. Please inform us that you have received this letter.
The Khalsa belongs to Waheguru!
To Waheguru belongs victory!
