The Khalsa belongs to Waheguru!

To Waheguru belongs victory!

By the grace of the Almighty, we are in high-spirits. We ask at the door of the Guru that the entire Panth be graced with high spirits. It is nine o’clock in the evening. A close has not yet been brought upon us for the night. All the soldiers are sat cross-legged. I wanted with all my heart to write separate letters to you all, but time is short and there is a dearth of paper. Our jailers do not allow letters to go out in any case. They have confiscated almost all our paper. Even our paper and pen look like an AK-47 to them. Here the sleep of these people has been banished; they live in fear. But thanks to the prayers and well-wishes of you all, and by the grace of the Guru we are lively. That auspicious moment that we have been wait for, falling at four o’clock in the morning on the ninth of October is nearly upon us. We are not overwhelmed by this happy occasion, rather we look forward to it.

I tried to write everybody’s name above; as I remembered them, I wrote them down. Please forgive me if I mistakenly did not write your name. I am somewhat weary from the prison guards arriving to stand over us at any given hour, beseeching us to turn in. There is a selfishness in their requests. They are all wanting of thrashings.

Dearest brothers Rajinder Singh and Manjit Singh, sisters Daljit Kaur and Balveer Kaur Ji we received your heart-warming letters, but we could not reply. Please forgive us. Sisters Ravinder Kaur and Charanjit Kaur, we also received your letters and were able to reply but we have no way of knowing if those letters went out or not.

We have received unconditional love from you all and we always considered that you were here as part of us. We are only human and will have made mistakes – please forgive us our transgressions.

To grandmother Surjit Kaur Ji (of 281 Hand) your supplication to the Almighty has been heard: your sons have passed the test of their lives. Where we go next, we hope to be graced by your vision grandmother and surely the Guru will graciously permit us to do so.
