Bhai Balbir Singh

Ik Onkar Satgur Parsad

First of all I'd like to say Fateh to all my brothers and all the volunteers of the Sikh organization Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Khalsa ji, I'd like to say thank you for all the help you are providing for the Sikhs/Singhs in the prisons, without any discrimination, without considering there belonging to any different organisation or party, you have one rule for all. The service you're providing, just as Sikhs, is without any discrimination and without any organisation's behalf is so great, it gives the guidance and understanding which is really important and very much needed at this time.

Khalsa ji, I am going to tell you a bit of about myself. Khalsa ji, my name is Sardar Balbir singh son of Sardar Bagh Ram S/O Bhagat Ram, my village is Chak Tahli wala alas maulvi wala post office, Jhok Tehl Singh tehseel, district Firozpur, Punjab. I was a labourer and used to take care of my parents. I also worked with Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu's party. I don't know how but they linked me with Bhai Paramjeet Singh Dhadi and then they carried on putting many other cases on me.

Khalsa ji, the Punjab police have put about 12-15 cases on me and they have kept me in all most all of the CIA (central investigation Agency) staff in Punjab. They have really badly tortured and interrogated a lot to me and the people I knew. The way of torture is still the same and it hasn't even changed today. In the interrogation centres when someone dies due to torture, the police dump the body somewhere and then make it look like as an unknown person's body. I am a witness to this as it happened in front of me. Khalsa Ji, the police have kept arresting me (kidnapping) time and time again, many times I have had to hide to escape the beatings and torture. I don't know why the police are so badly after the Sikh youths like me. Why can't they just let us live in peace. Khalsa Ji I have had to stay at many different police stations for many days, and bear the torture. In the torture they would, pull the legs apart (ripping the groins), electrocute the private parts, roll logs over the body, drowning in water (water torture), hanging with ropes, breaking the persons shoulders and knees, beatings with cane sticks, the police don't bother with our human rights nor do they follow any constitution or remember anything else, all they care about is, that the person they've caught is a Sikh/Singh, and that's the 'fault'.

The Singhs without any fault have to bear this kind of harsh torture for many days. Khalsa ji, they have put a number of cases on me and they have also put a case on my wife too. She is currently in Ludhiana jail. The case they've put on her is 302. I have no idea what to write, we were wedded only for a few months. I was being harassed by the police so I was escaping/was on run and I got caught/arrested so was my wife. We, affected by the overall circumstances (Sikh Panth's situation), are sitting in the jail, having a full faith in Waheguru and are thinking, when will we go out again?

Khalsa Ji, I would finally like to say thank you once again, for the support and effort you are putting to help the Sikhs in the prisons, which is very much needed. In saying all this I would also like to say sorry for saying anything wrong.

Once again
