The village of Sukhna Ablu is situated near Mukhatsar, a Jhujaru Singh from this village who even after being arrested and brutally tortured did not give up his faith, honour and mission of Khalistan. In the end the Indian regime made him Shaheed in a false encounter, but the Jhujaru Singh had his name written amongst others on the pages of glorious Sikh history.

The name of this Jhujaru Singh is Bhai Surjan Singh Babbar. Bhai Sahib was born on 6th June 1949 from the womb of Mata Balvir Kaur and in the house of Sardar Mukhtyar Singh Brar in the village of Sukhna Ablu. From his childhood Bhai Sahib was brave and never backed down from challenges. Bhai Sahib studied uptil 8th class and after started working with his father on the family run farms. As well as being brave Bhai Sahib was also honest and hard working. Bhai Sahib would work in the farms with full dedication. Bhai Sahib had his Anand Karaj with Bibi Amarjit Kaur, three sons and two daughters took birth in Bhai Sahibs house. The god had written major Panthic responsibilities in Bhai Sahibs destiny.

When the Sikh struggle for freedom was at its peak, Bhai Sahib also started taking interest and slowly started meeting the local Jhujaru Singhs. Bhai Sahib now started fulfilling his Panthic responsibilities that were written in his destiny. Soon Bhai Sahib was known as one of the main Singhs of Babbar Khalsa. Due to Bhai Sahib's brave actions, Jhujaru Singhs of Babbar Khalsa and other freedom fighting groups respected Bhai Sahib.

Warriors are not made by copying someone or duplicating what others do. Warriors are made if you have the god given fighting spirit and willingness to sacrifice. Copy cats and attached people will never be warriors. Anyway, Bhai Sahib was arrested in Ganga Nagar, Rajasthan due to an informant of the police. Some days later Bhai Sahib was brought to Mukhatsar by the Kot Bhai Police under the protection warrant. Bhai Sahib was blindly tortured thought-out his custody but the police got no information from Bhai sahib. Even though Bhai Sahib had been badly tortured, when these top officers came to see him, he would stand straight and look right into the eyes of the officers as he curled his moustache.

Many days passed like this, then in the end newspapers on 8th January 1992 printed a front page article; "Last night in the village of Bhattia, District Faridkot as the police was transporting 3 prisoners, Malkit Singh Dansingh Wala, Bhai Surjan Singh Babbar and Amarjit Sukhna Ablu, Jhujaru Singhs of Babbar Khalsa attacked the convoy and in this battle the above three Jhujaru Singhs were killed as they tried to escape."

The truth is Bhai Sahib and Malkit Singh were collecting arms from Rajasthan under the command of Bhai Balwinder Singh Ganga, the Singhs were arrested and brought to Punjab for interrogation. During the custody period in Punjab Bhai Amarjit Singh Sukhna Ablu was trying to bail the Singhs out which was not taken well by the police. The police arrested him and then on New Years Eve of 1991, all three Singhs were martyred in a false encounter. After which the police officers celebrated new years by getting drunk.
