Travelling from Ramdas to Dera Baba Nanak, you will pass by the village Dharamkot Randhawa, this village is beside the River Raavi. The Singh to carry out the biggest mission of the 20th century, Bhai Satwant Singh was also from Dharamkot Randhawa. Bhai Satwant Singh's grandfather Sardar Kartar Singh and Sardar Jaswant Singh were blood brothers. Sardar Kartar Singh had 3 sons Sardar Trilok Singh, Sardar Gurpal Singh and Sardar Gurdyal Singh.

In 1956 the eldest son of Kartar Singh, Sardar Trilok Singh was married to Bibi Pyar Kaur from the village of Agwan Khurad, which is 13 km away from Dharamkot Randhawa as Bibi Pyar Kaur did not have no brothers, for this reason Sardar Trilok Singh moved in with his in laws in 1966, here Bibi Pyar Kaur gave birth to a Sikh warrior that would avenge the attacks of the Sikh nation by assassinating Indira Gandhi, Bhai Satwant Singh.

Bhai Gurmej Singh was born in the house of Sardar Jaswant Singh Nihang and from the womb of Mata Gurbachan Kaur on 20th November 1969 in the village of Dharamkot Randhawa, district Gurdaspur. Bhai sahib started studying at the age of 3 and a half. Bhai Sahib had a birth mark on the left hand side of his forehead. As Bhai Sahib grew older his birth mark also grew bigger. Once as Bhai Sahib played in the laps oh his mother someone asked, "What's that mark on your forehead?" Bhai Sahib started telling them about his past life, Bhai Sahib was only 4 and a half years old at that time. Bhai Sahib said "I was fighting the battle of 1965 and I was shot in the forehead, that how I died in my last life." Bhai Sahib was asked how many brothers and sisters he had and Bhai Sahib replied, "We were 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I was driving my tank in Chando Nangal, Pakistan when I died." Everyone was listening to Bhai Sahib in silence. Bhai Sahib studied up to 6th class in village Bal Vidia, the passed 7th and 8th class in village Singhpura and 9th and 10th in the local school of Dharamkot Randhawa then passed his 11th class at Dera Baba Nanak.

On 31st October 1984, Bhai Sahib's nephew Bhai Satwant Singh along with Bhai Beant Singh assassinated the Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for her lead role in the attacks on Sri Darbar Sahib and 1000's of innocent Sikhs. Now the whole family of the Singhs was being watched and hated by the racist eyes. The police was regularly coming to the house of Bhai Satwant Singh's family and his relatives. At this time Bhai Sahib was 18-19 years of age and stood tall with a great build. Bhai Sahib had beautiful looks and a humble personality. Bhai Sahib came under the radar of the police. The police started to harass Bhai sahib, so Bhai Sahib left home and started staying away from his family. Bhai sahib had no links to any political or Khadku Jathebandi. Bhai Sahib kept a Kirpan with his in case anyone attacked him, but the police spread the news of him being a dangerous terrorist. From here the Punjab police started harassing the family of Bhai sahib. SSP Gobind Ram, arrested Bhai Sahib's father Sardar Jaswant Singh and took him to the Dera Baba Nanak police station. Here Gobind Ram told Sardar Jaswant Singh, "Old man, no one in Hindustan likes your family. We are going to send you and your family to Pakistan." Sardar Jaswant Singh replied, "If you have the strength to send us to Pakistan, then do it. I will use all my strength to stay in my Punjab." This shut SSP Gobind Ram up, Sardar Jaswant Singh was kept at Baba Dera Nanak police station for 35 days, then 8 days in Kalanoor police station and then 45 days in Narot Jamel police station. The Thanedar of Dera Baba Nanak, Kunan Singh was desperate to catch Bhai Sahib. Thanedar Kunan would arrest 20 people at a time form Dharamkot Randhawa and beat them and ask for information about Bhai Sahib. Even the brothers and cousins of Bhai Sahib were victims of police brutality. Thanedar Kunan swore at Sardar Jaswant Singh Nihang, the reply Thanedar got from this Nihang was, "Thanedara, your honour is in your hands, if you swear at me again then I will give you a better reply. Charge me for whatever you want, we Sikhs don't surrender to government torture. Look at what happened to your Indira Gandhi, we pay our debts with interest." Thanedar Kunan who felt proud of himself by swearing at innocent people was never seen after this incident.

While studying away from home Bhai Sahib met Khalistan Commando Force's, Bhai Mathra singh and form here onwards Bhai Sahib took up arms and started carrying out actions within the Sikh Freedom Movement. Even the newspapers were printing the praises of Bhai Sahib's bravery. The brutality of Indian government had made this charming young man into a Jhujaru Singh. Bhai Sahib had made it clear that he would rather attain shaheedi than being arrested by the police alive.

Once Bhai Sahib was staying at the house of his Bhua's daughter in the village of Dyalgarh. An informant got this information and passed it onto the Punjab police and said that Bhai Sahib is unarmed. SSP Sita Ram of Batala police gathered thousands of Punjab police and CRPF personnel and surrounded the village. Bhai Sahib fooled the Indian security forces and tried to escape form the farms of village Udhowal. SSP Sita Rama chased Bhai Sahib with his force. SSP Sita Ram was heard shouting at his force telling them "Don't shoot, I want to catch him alive." When Bhai Sahib realised that he was surrounded from all four sides, he ran into a hut besides a water tubal within the farms, Bhai Sahib was unarmed and did not want to get caught alive by the Punjab police. Bhai Sahib grabbed the naked electric wires but there was no electricity. Bhai Sahib then wrote waheguru 4 times on the wall and started to sharpen his Kirpan by grinding it against the bricks. Then Bhai Sahib stabbed himself 4 times in the chest, stomach and then shouted the slogans of "Bole So Nihal Sat Sri Akaal" as he attained shaheedi for Khalistan.

Even after Bhai Sahib attained shaheedi the Indian security forces did not dare go near the water tubal. It was the 31st of January 1991 when Bhai sahib hugged the angel of death rather than come into the hands of Indian security forces alive, eventually when the Indian security found the courage to go next to Bhai Sahib they shot at Bhai Sahib's shaheedi saroop. In the newspapers of 1st February 1991 the fake stories of an intense police encounter which killed one terrorist by the name of Bhai Gurmej Singh Chacha (Khalistan Armed Force) were printed.

Bhai Sahib was cremated under heavy presence of CRPF. The family of Bhai Sahib and the locals where about to go to the Batala police station to get the ashes of Bhai Sahib, but they met Sardar Trilok Singh who had the ashes of Bhai Sahib in his hand. The police had allowed Sardar Trilok Singh to take the ashes of Bhai Sahib as they were an active member of Shromani Akali Dal. Ashes of Bhai Sahib were flowed at Sri Kiratpur Sahib.

The Sikh panth honours this fallen soldier of Khalistan. The family of Bhai Sahib held Sri Akhand Paath Sahibs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at home in village Dharamkot Randhawa. On the day of the bhog Indian security forces had placed a curfew in this area. The Punjab police, CRPE and BSF were the only ones seen on the local roads, even with the tight curfews the thousands of Sikhs managed to travel through the farms and to the village of Dharamkot Randhawa to pay respects to Shaheed Bhai Gurmej Singh Chacha (Khalistan Armed Force).

Bhai Jogs singh Jogi's Kavishri Jatha honours Bhai sahib by saying:

"Shaheed Di Zindagi Hi Maut Ton Baad Shru Hundi Hai.
Hakumat Ne Bhai Gurmej Singh Nu Saririk Tor Te Pavein Khatam Kar Ditta Hai,
Par Loka De Dillan Undar Chuke Shaheed Singha Nu Khatam Karna Haakman De Vas Di Gal Nahi.
Sikhi Vich Sab Ton Ucha Rutba,
Parvaan Chan Shaheedat Da."
